Negative World Podcast 100 - Extra Life

Today marks a very special day in negative world podcast History. It marks the Special 100th episode In the podcast! Stephen (drfinkelstein) is joined by his podcast co-host as usual, joe (ninsage). To celebrate the milestone, He and ninsage Elected to do a bit of a clip show. Lame in some circles but not here! A Selection of over Ten episodes are used to tell a bit of Podcast history and to remember some Of the good times the show has seen over the many many Days the show has been on the air. Could this be the longest podcast yet? Almost. Short by just a Tidbit.

Topics include but are not limited to,… How the podcast got started And gaming during the first Negative world meet-up in new york. Kicking butt in Some multiplayer action was had. Fink's first full On hosting gig is Revealed as well for those users whose memories of it may have escaped them. Now miiverse is essentially Gone and it's interesting to hear where our minds were when it first was releasing.

There's a new segment for every set of 10 or so episodes with a few special surprises in there. (Who remember's the Super Mario Bros. Super Show theme we recorded or when we recorded from the tarmac? Ninsage and DrFinkelstine reminisce for a few hours, referencing current Nintendo News of the time, and then wrap things up with a rather important finale. You'll hear from over fifteen guests from over the years in this expansive episode.

A big thank you to all the people who have ever helped out with the podcast and made it to where it is with this episode. Your efforts have always been appreciated and this blast through the past only solidifies that even further. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did while making it. It was a took some time to get produced… THANKS ZELDA! hrumpf! ;)

There isn't much use to trying to cite each game referenced in this one but I will say that Ninsage chose the music and it is grand. I'll leave it to you to find out what that big 100th episode ditty is.

Thanks for Zero for the podcast opening and closing credits sequence. It's a staple of the podcast and will be burned into our memories forever. So with that said, please enjoy the show.

Negative World Podcast 099 - BLASTphemy

In essentially the sequel to Episode 98, Stephen (DrFinkelstein) hosts solo in a show all about the Nintendo Switch!

This episode features a guest who hasn't been on in years! That guest would be JK (J.K. Riki). With him is a classic podcast guest, Jamie (PogueSquadron)!

At the top of the show the gang discusses the Nintendo Switch Presentation overall and then dive into the console design. This leads into the play modes, the controller's technology, and the relevancy of the Pro-Controller.

In the second segment they cover a slew of Nintendo Switch titles, particularly and mostly ones not mentioned in the last episode. Some of the more notable titles mentioned are, 1-2 Switch, Snipperclips, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Xenoblade 2, the new Dragon Quest games, Super Bomberman R, and Sonic Mania.

It's the third segment where the likes of Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild get discussed!

Negative World Podcast 098 - Schrodinger's Joy-Con

Happy New Year faithful listeners! Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) are back for more! 2017 has already brought a lot of change and more is yet to come. One of the most notable changes is the change in the console cycle for Nintendo, with the Nintendo Switch. We're here to talk about it, and there is a LOT to discuss.

This episode features long-time guests of the show, Grant (GameDadGrant) and Paleo_Steno for a two-hour evaluation of the Nintendo Switch and it's games.

In the first segment the gang discusses the overall presentation, the Joy-Con controllers, the Online Services shown so far, and the rather ingenious Parental Controls App Nintendo is developing. In the second and third segments of the show, it's all about the games. The games featured on this episode include but are not limited to… ARMS, ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, BlazBlue for Switch, Splatoon 2, Super Bomberman R, Fire Emblem Warriors, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Project Octopath Traveler, and even more than that… you know… like Super Mario Odyssey and some The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild!
